Alice Marie Covington

Alice Marie Umphlett Covington of Waleska passed away and went to be with our Lord on Monday January 8, 2018.  A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00p.m., Saturday, January 13th, in the Gathering Place at Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta, Ga.  Alice is survived by her husband of 33 years, Charlie Covington, her two sons, Chadd Covington and Kyle Covington, two brothers John Umphlett and his wife Melissa, and Francis Umphlett, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Alice graduated from Marietta High School and drove a school bus for Cherokee County.  She loved being around and working with the children she cared for each day.  She felt these were her children and had a special love for each one of them.  She was a compassionate and loving wife and mother.  Alice was devoted to her family and was their rock.  She loved camping, reading, and crocheting.

The family would like for you to join them after the Memorial Service to share special memories of Alice.

The Gathering Place is located near the back of the church in building “F”,  at 774 Roswell Street in Marietta.  Parking is east of the church, behind the Pregnancy Center.  Use the walk way, to the right of building “D” and straight to the glass doors.
