Bleaker L. Starnes

Bleaker L. Starnes, 78, of Marietta, GA, went to be with her Lord and savior on June 30th, 2017. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed. Ms. Starnes worked for the Cobb County Board of Education for over 20 years, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodstock. She is survived by her two brothers, Ray Williams (Donna) of Canton and Paul Knight of Gulf Shores; her five daughters, Jean Chasewood and Brenda Starnes of Douglasville, Cindy Bentley, Sheila Knight, and Nancy Stewart (Mac) of Acworth; her two sons, Ricky Starnes and Jeff Starnes of Acworth; and her 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 2nd, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service for Ms. Starnes will be held on Monday, July 3rd, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Medford-Peden Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mountainview Park Cemetery – Marietta, GA. Medford-Peden Funeral Home - Marietta - is in charge of arrangements. (770) 427-8447
