Chauncey A. Hoover

 Chauncey A. Hoover, "Skeets" 96 years, died on August 3, 2016 while in hospice care. He is now eternally home in the arms of our loving God. Chauncey was born November 23, 1919 and raised in New Castle, PA. He and his wife of 64 yrs Freida raised their children in New Castle, PA on Worthington Ave. He is survived by wife Frieda of Canton, GA. His son Richard Hoover and wife, Kay of Anchorage Ak., Janet Dalesandro of Clearwater, Fl., Gary Hoover and wife Faith of Canton, Ga., grandchildren Duane and Cameron Hoover of Alaska, Louie Dalesandro of Clearwater, Fl., Baile and Chauncey Hoover of Canton, GA, great grandson, Bobby Ward of Clearwater, Fl. Predeceased by his firstborn granddaughter Stacy Dalesandro of Clearwater, Fl., his brothers Jack, Norman, Howard and sister Marietta all of New Castle, PA.

Upon retiring from the Post Office in 1982, Skeets and Freida moved to Palm Harbor, Fl. where they made their home for 16 years. Chauncey played Golf 364 days a year and loved always being active. They later moved to Woodstock, Ga making their home for 15 years. He was blessed to enjoy 34 years of retirement.

Skeets was a WWII infantry soldier and prisoner of Germany Stalog 2B for 2 years.

He will be sadly missed by his family for being such a unique husband, brother and wonderful Dad. We will always love you.
