Kathleen J. Killian

 Mrs. Kathleen (Kat, Kacky)Julia Killian, 95 of Marietta, GA passed away June 3 at Tranquility Hospice of Kennesaw Mountain. Mrs. Killian was born on October 28, 1921 in Hiawassee, GA to the late Noah and Julia Kelly Hooper. Kathleen was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church and enjoyed square dancing with her husband, Harold, of 60 years, and playing her piano and organ. She attended Habersham College before WWII. While being a military spouse with her husband in the Air Force, the Killians were based in South Carolina, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas, North Carolina, France, & Italy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Killian and one brother, Thomas Hooper, Sr. Survivors include: son, Daniel B. (Nancy) Killian of Marietta, GA, daughter, Jane Killian, Marietta, GA, granddaughters, Denise (Chris) Walls, Winder, Ga, Angela (Chris) Knox, Dallas, GA, Sarah Garrison, Marietta, GA. Great-grandchildren: Michael Walls, Jacob Walls, Christina Knox, Chloe Knox, Mason Knox, and Chelsea Knox. Funeral services: Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 10:00am at the Chapel of Medford-Peden Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Jones officiating. Interment will be in Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta. Serving as pall bearers: Thomas Hooper, Dean Couderc, Chris Walls, Michael Walls, Jacob Walls, Chris Knox, Terry Davis, Dave Zinnershine. Honorary pallbearer, Mason Knox. The family will receive friends at Medford-Peden Funeral Home Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
