Rachel B. Gibson

Alma “Rachel” Bennet Gibson passed away peacefully 10 May 2017, at the age of 86. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She was born on May 6th 1931 in Cherokee County, in   Marietta, Georgia.

She loved her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, traveling, and was an avid Atlanta Braves. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother who was married to Paul Gibson for many years and who preceded her in death in 2006.

She is survived by her sons, David Gibson of Strasburg, Virginia, Jeffrey and Douglas Gibson of Marietta, and one daughter Teresa Huber of Marietta, Her Grandchildren, David, Corbin, Tava, Christie, Ashley, and Tony, one brother, Kennon Bennett of Acworth, several in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

The family will receive family and friends from 5-8 pm Friday evening at  Medford-Peden Funeral Home in Marietta, Ga. 30063 (770) 427-8447. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Medford-Peden Funeral Home.  Interment will be in Mount View Cemetery on Whitlock Ave in Marietta.  Medford-Peden Funeral Home-Marietta, Ga is in charge of arrangements 770-427-8447.
