William M. Ray

William M. Ray, 89, of Cartersville passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at his home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2016 with Rev. Toby Stephens officiating. Burial will immediately follow at River View Memorial Gardens in Smyrna. Mr. Ray served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and worked as a machine operator at Simmons Mattress Company for many years.  William is preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Stephens Ray and is survived by his sons, Danny Ray and Bill Coffee; daughters, Theresa Conley, Donna Young, Brenda Caldwell and Jessie Flynn; 2 sisters; 23 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 22 from 10 AM until time for the service at 3 PM.
