Jay Roy Obituary

Jay V. Roy, age 95, of Marietta passed away March 3rd, 2018. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed. He was a proud WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy in the Atlantic Theatre. He was also the editor of the Southern Star Magazine at Lockheed and one of the very best of Greatest Generation. After retirement from Lockheed, he volunteered at Kennestone Hospital for 24 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife Doreen M. Roy. He is survived by his daughters Debbie Baker of Marietta and Kathleen M. Davies of Jasper, and sons Bruce (Teresa) Roy of Marietta and Robert (Susan) Roy of Washington state.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday March 9th, 2018 at 2pm in the Chapel of Medford-Peden Funeral Home. Family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service. Interment at a later date will take place at Georgia National Cemetery.
