Joanne M. Briordy passed away on September 5, 2018. She was born on December 26,1950 in Philadelphia, PA. to Irvin and Harriet Schrager.
Joanne was a genuine soul with a contagious smile and a wicked sense of humor who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her purpose in life was taking care of the children she taught, her own children, and most of all her grandchildren. Joanne worked as a teacher at the MJCCA- Sunshine School, as well as a para-pro at Mt. Bethal Elementary in Marietta, Georgia.
Joanne is survived by her daughters Jennifer Godbout and Hillary Tate, her son Daniel Briordy, and her grandchildren Jordan Mock, Krista Mock, Peyton Godbout, Barrett Tate, and McKinley Tate.
A memorial service will be held Friday, February 22, 2019 from 2-5 P.M. at King Fisher Hall, located at the Chattachochee Nature Center in Roswell, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made in Joanne’s honor to one of her favorite places to visit, the Chattachochee Nature Center.
