Linda Gail (Grier) Scott

Linda G. Scott, age 73, passed away on September 5, 2017.  Linda was a loving wife, mother, and dear friend and will be greatly missed. 

Linda retired after 34 years of service as Secretary for Director of Vocational and Rehabilitation Services for the State of Georgia.  She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Marietta.

Linda is survived by her husband of  53 years, Doyle Scott of Marietta; sons, Bryce and Elliott of Marietta; sister Karen Doster of Marietta; sister in law Marie Scott of Acworth; brother Wayne Grier of Tennessee, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Scott will be held on Friday September 8, 2017 at 10:00 AM at The First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Marietta  with Pastor Sherwood Smith and Dr. Jerry Gladson officiating with remains lying in state at 9 AM . Interment will be held at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta, GA.

Linda’s family will receive friends on Thursday September 7, 2017 from 2 PM to 4 PM, and 6 PM to 8 PM at Medford Peden Funeral Home, Marietta, GA. (770) 427-8447
