Rosalie (White) FitzPatrick

Rosalie White FitzPatrick of Dunwoody passed away on Saturday, January 6th 2018. She was born in New Castle, PA in 1933. After graduation from the University of Michigan in 1954, she worked at IBM in Pittsburgh where she met and married Dan FitzPatrick. After living in Clearwater and Fort Lauderdale, FL, they moved to Atlanta in 1976. Rosalie was active in the League of Women Voters, serving as Vice President and President of the Georgia League. She worked for the Washington-based Roosevelt Center for American Policy Studies, setting up their Georgia office, and for the New York-based Foreign Policy Association, developing their programs in Georgia. She also developed an international education component for the Georgia Council for International Visitors. 

Rosalie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Wynne FitzPatrick (Marietta), daughter and son-in-law, Laurel FitzPatrick Odom and Steve Odom (New York City), grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew, and Joshua FitzPatrick and Elizabeth, Katherine, and Will Odom. A memorial service will be held on Sunday January 14th at 2:00 at Dunwoody United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the charity of your choice or to Dunwoody United Methodist Church or the Georgia Council for International Visitors.
