Shirley Wooldridge age 75 of Marietta, passed away Saturday March 31st, 2018. She was a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all whom she came in contact. Shirley’s fight with Parkinson’s never overshadowed her determination to live joyfully and fully. She was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma but lived most of her childhood in Africa; Angola, Nigeria, and South Africa. After meeting her husband and marrying, they ministered together in Africa, for many years in Zimbabwe, South Africa, and the U.S. After serving on the mission field she still had a heart for Africa. Her love and faith for Jesus Christ shined in everything about her. Even though our hearts are painfully broken, today she is free from pain and joyfully dancing in Heaven. She will be truly missed.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edmund Wooldridge; Daughters Gillienne Stanley and Karen Mueller; Sisters Beverley Best, Glenda Mooneyham, and Kathy Cook; Grandchildren Andrew Mueller, Mason Mueller, Jadyn Stanley, Kristen Mueller, Ethan Stanley, Gabrielle Stanley, and Lily Mueller.
Visitation is being held Tuesday April 3rd at Mount Paran North, at 11am with Funeral to follow at 12pm.
