Vivian Smith, age 89, of Marietta, GA, passed from this life to be with our LORD on September 8, 2017. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed. Vivian worked side by side with her husband Paul in the air freight trucking industry for over 40 years. She expressed love and concern for her family and others’ well-being, was a hard worker, never complaining, eager to find a solution to a problem, and enjoyed supporting her husband at work. After Paul’s death, she decided to move to Georgia to be near her daughter and lived there ten years.
She graduated from Leggett High School, was vice-president of her class, and worked at Emerson Electric Co and Arbogast Fish Tackle Company before her marriage to Paul, then raised her family. She worked with Paul at Smith Cartaging, Roberts Cartage, both in Akron, OH, and followed him in employment to Quick Air Freight in Columbus, OH. She steadfastly and lovingly cared for Paul in his later years.
