Carolyn Gerebia Watkins
Obituary
Carolyn Gerebia Watkins, of Marietta, GA, was blessed by God and given her wings to fly to her new home in Heaven on October 29, 2022, at the age of 79.
Carolyn was the youngest child born to Geneva and Myrtle Watkins on August 14, 1943, in St. Louis Missouri.
Carolyn received her formal education at Hughes-Quinn Junior High School and graduated from Lincoln Senior High School in E. St. Louis, Ill.
Carolyn was blessed with six children, James, Gerebia, Janon, Aubrey, Marvin, who preceded her in death, and Jamiel.
She was employed by the Salvation Army, E. St. Louis Housing Authority, and Nellis Air force Base in Las Vegas, Nv. She retired from Nellis Air Force Base in 2006 after 20 years of service and moved to Marietta, Ga.
In addition to her children, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Lurylene Baxter, Bertiel McCrary, Celestine Connell and her brothers: Henry, Melvin, and George McNeil Watkins; Carolyn leaves to cherish in her memory Grandchildren: Zachary, Tierra, Adriana, Nalayah, Brianna, Jamila, Millani, Sammy, Saccqaesia, Lamaudre, Nigel, Nyla, Marvin Jr., Aubrey Jr., Christopher, Josiah and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and special friends, Marie, Dorothy, Avis, Dora, and Theresa. Carolyn will be deeply missed by many.
