In loving memory of Darlene Sweeney age 67, formerly of Turtle Creek PA, a graduate from Turtle Creek High School who passed away July 22, 2019 in Atlanta Georgia.

Beloved wife of Jack Sweeney of Atlanta, Georgia, she was preceded in death by her parents Patricia LaRue and Daniel Vranich and Brother Louie Vranich.

Darlene worked at IBM for 16 years. There she met and married her husband (1980) of nearly 40 years. She returned to IBM as a contractor for 12 years.

She began showing and breeding Maine Coon Cats under the name of Coonsworth Cattery in 1992 retiring after 25 years. She was nationally and internationally knew producing many regional and grand champions.

Survived by her husband, loving Sisters Diana LaRue – Colaizzi (Joseph), Roxanne Fontanesi, Nancy Smith (David), Danielle Vranich, and Brother David Vranich (Gia). Also loving Cousin Cheryl Schilling (William), Aunt Laurene Dubich and nephews and nieces, stepdaughter Debbie Stacy, and 3 Grandchildren.

Cremation Arrangements made by Medford – Peden Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA. Memorial services locally and in the Pittsburgh area will be announced at a later date.
