Dollie Evelyn Curtis

Dollie Evelyn Curtis went to her heavenly home November 18, 2023 in Marietta, Georgia, at the age of 86.

Dollie was born on April 14, 1937 in Acworth, Georgia to Roland D. and Sarah Leone McCurley. After graduating high school, she met and later married her husband, Phillip (P.C.) Curtis.

They eventually settled in Cobb County to raise their family. Dollie and P.C. went on to have four children, and her family was of the utmost importance.

Dollie loved spending time with her family and enjoyed sewing, gardening and helping people. She was always giving of herself and her time. Dollie was a friend to all and never met a stranger. She had a bigger than life personality – her smile, laughter and generosity will be greatly missed.

Dollie was predeceased by husband, Phillip Curtis, her son, Scotty Curtis and grandson, Jason Gazaway.

Dollie is survived by her children; son, Tony Curtis (Connie Curtis), Daughter, Michelle Holmes (Ron Holmes), Daughter, Kelly Stringer (Jim Stringer), Grandchildren, Dewayne Holmes, (Kelley Holmes), Justin Holmes, Kia Holmes, Christopher Curtis, Kevin Gazaway & Jessica Merritt and Eleven Great-Grandchildren.

Services will be held at Medford-Peden Funeral Home: 1408 Canton Road, Marietta, GA 30066 on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Viewing will start at 11:00 a.m. and the services will begin at 1:00 p.m.
