Edna Jane Daniel

Edna Jane Daniel, age 90 of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 29,2020. Jane was born May 10, 1930 in Forsyth County, Georgia, the only daughter to the late Frazier Trevor Brooks and Estylee Gilliland Brooks. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert J. Daniel, and four brothers. Her one living brother is Hulett Brooks (Pat).

Jane was a long-time resident of Cobb County who attended Smyrna High School. She and Bob married December 23, 1949 and celebrated 52 years of marriage before his passing on August 27, 2003. Their affection and devotion to one another was well known. They were charter members of Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta where they both served faithfully and enjoyed many friendships. Bob was an avid gardener and Jane was a great cook and homemaker. In retirement years, they moved to Kennesaw, Georgia where they enjoyed playing golf, traveling and serving their neighbors and friends.

She is survived by two sons: Jerry Daniel (Beth) and Randy Daniel (Debbie); 5 grandchildren: Jeff, Robyn, Joseph, Shannon and Matthew; and 6 great-grandchildren: Juliana, Gwendolyn, Annabeth, Alexandria, Eli and Andie. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to MuchMinistries.org, founded by Beaver and Kathy Brooks, providing economic development aid in Haiti.
