Elizabeth Jankura Obituary

On Tuesday February 15, 2022, Elizabeth Poe Jankura, loving wife and mother passed away at the age of 78.

Betty was born on June 23, 1943 in Atlanta, Georgia to C. Dwight and Gertrude Poe.

Betty graduated from Saint Pius X Catholic High School in Atlanta in 1961.  Her professional career was in government service and included working for the General Service Administration as well as the CDC.  She left government service in 1986 to support the family business, Pathogen Control Associates.

She was dedicated to her husband, Raymond Theodore Jankura, children and grandchildren. Forever an optimistic person, she brought joy into everyone's lives and was not one to complain. She enjoyed volunteering for the church, traveling, spending time with family and she never met a slot machine that didn't make her smile.

On December 5, 1992, she married Raymond Theodore Jankura. She is survived by Ray, son Carl Hollingsworth and wife Mo'nique of Atlanta Georgia; daughter Lori Sellers and partner Sean DeGayner of Hartland, Wisconsin; son Chris Feeley of Jasper Georgia; son Jay Feeley and wife Namiko of Kyoto Japan; daughter Shawna Feeley and husband Stephen Wayne of Bristol Tennessee; son Brendan Feeley and wife Mende of Dallas Georgia; daughter Linda Popham and husband Dennis of Cartersville, Georgia; Daughter Becky Jankura of Hixson, Tennessee; brother C. Dwight Poe Jr. of Burke, Virginia and eight grandchildren Brittany Feeley, Dillon, Jackson, Ethan, Marina, Erika, Emily and Jenna.
