Mr. Hay Kia Lim - 89, of Acworth, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Soueng Lim; Daughters Houi (Al) Branch, Ching (Long) Le, May Lim; Son Andy Lim; Grandchildren Donald (Megan) Le, Jenny (Markus) Diep, Evan Diep, Brianna Ham, Alisa Ham, Louis Lim, and Wes Lim; Great granddaughter, Charlotte Le, and nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lim was born in Hong Kong on November 11, 1931. He married Soueng in Vietnam, 1961. In 1980, he fled the communist regime in Laos with his family, where they spent four years as refugees in Thailand. They arrived in the metro Atlanta area in 1984, and all became United States Citizens in 1993.
Mr. Lim worked as an accountant in Hong Kong and Vietnam. He, his wife, and family, owned a restaurant in Laos. Mr. Lim spent decades as a holistic healer, and devoted his time in the Atlanta area to the study of Chinese herbs, for health and well being. It was in the spirit of helping others overcome sickness that Mr. Lim found his greatest joy.
He will be missed by many.
