Preceded by his parents Floyd and Dessier Sargent. Brother Claude Sargent and Karen, Cecil, Marshall, Donald, Jake, Benny, Roylee McTaggart. Also 1 sister-in-law Leide Sargent. Mother and father in law Vernon and Icie McTaggart.

Survived by his loving wife of 63 years Ilean McTaggart Sargent. Children Magaline Davenport (Paul) of Rockmart GA. Hugh Terry Sargent (Cindy) of Rockmart GA. Ann Ingram (J.H) of Blue Ridge GA. Sister Sally Denny of Cartersville, GA.
