James Douglas "Doug" Hopson

"Hopson, James Douglas “Doug”, age 58, passed away July 6th, 2020 at Kennestone Hospital. Mr. Hopson was born in Pennsylvania to the late James Hopson, Sr. and Pauline Johnson McNemar.

Doug worked as an HVAC specialist for Cherokee County. Doug was an auto racing enthusiast and in his time off enjoyed working on racecars, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family. 

He is survived by his Wife; Julie Webb Hopson of Acworth, GA, Daughter; Lacey Gonzales of Woodstock, GA, Sons; Josh (Valina) Hopson of Dallas, GA, and Matthew (Amber) Hopson of Woodstock, GA.  Grandchildren; Braylee & Carter.  He also leaves behind two Sisters; Robin Burns of Adairsville, GA, and Cammy Tackett of Acworth, GA. 

The Family will receive Friends and Family, July 17th, 2020 from 4:00PM – 8:00PM for a Visitation at Medford – Peden Funeral & Crematory. Funeral Services will be held July 18th, 2020 in the Chapel of Medford – Peden at 1:00PM followed by burial at Rolling Hills Memory Garden.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking those that wish to give in Doug’s memory to donate to the  James "Doug" Hopson Memorial Fund.
