Karlita Marie Baines-Cook, age 52,passed away peacefully July 23, 2020 due to Covid-19 and congestive heart failure. She was born July 31, in Fairbanks, Alaska to Hezzie Baines and Karla Baines.
Karlita loved to love on people. She sewed blankets and loved to play that farmland game on her phone. Her hands were rarely still.she would give you the shirt off her back and anyone who truly knows her knows that.My Grandma Nyree and Myles including me and all of my cousins and her friends were her source of life and she praised all of us and she loves you and I know my daughter Jozalyn has a special place in her heart and when I see her I see amini Karlita. She also shared her love with food such as Southern food for her children and Jason, such as the stews and masterpieces she made from her crock pots and everything my grandmother(Karla)and grandpa(hezzie) made when she was younger and she took them as her own and provided for her family.
For many years Karlita worked at Walmart as a Pharmacy Technician in Atlanta,GA. It suited her servant heart. I Know she was a Amazing person and she liked to help others and this verse reminds me of her because of the power of the literature- Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
Karlita is survived by her Mother and Partner Karla Baines and Jason Cook, Sister
and Children,Tammy Clinton and Nathan Gilchrist,Nyree Cook and Myles Cook and her granddaughter Jozalyn Gilchrist. All of these People she loved and touched deeply we will never forget you and we will think about you everyday and honor you and continue to make you smile because I know you’re watching over all of us in heaven.
