Larry Carl Doby

Doby, Larry Carl, Sr of Powder Springs Georgia passed away at Wellstar Paulding on Thursday, January 9, 2020.  Mr. Doby was born October 19, 1954 in Marietta, Georgia to John Carl Doby, and Oma Purcell Doby. He was a lifelong resident of Paulding County Georgia. Larry was a truck driver, an avid hunter, and a man who loved his family dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents John Carl, and Oma Doby. Brother; Ray Doby, and Grandson; Jacob Carl Doby.

Survived by a Son; Larry Carl Doby Jr (Jennifer), a Daughter; Shandricka Wells (Corey). Grandchildren; Katelyn Wright, Kyle Wright, Tyler Simpson (Ashley), and Chase Simpson. Great Grandchildren; Aiden, Landon, Greyson, and Dakota. Sister; Janice Lacy, and Sister in Law Kathy Doby.

The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, January 12th, 2020 from 10:00am – 12:00pm at Medford Peden Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow visitation at 1:00pm at Mountain View Park Cemetery in Marietta, Georgia.

The family request that in lieu of flowers donation be made to Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital of Atlanta.
