Margaret "Betty" E. Bothwell

Betty Bothwell, of Marietta, GA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 5, 2022, at the age of 76.

Betty was born on February 4, 1946, in Northern Ireland to the late John Alexander and Elizabeth Clarke. Betty moved to the US as a young woman and married Eric Bothwell. She spent many years, while in Connecticut as a Housekeeper and caregiver for many wonderful families. She so enjoyed sharing stories with detail to her many years living in Darien. Later Betty and Eric moved to Georgia to be closer to their children. Before retiring she enjoyed working as a Lunchroom Monitor at Mountain View Elementary in Marietta, GA. She was well known for her ginger cookies and her hand crocheted potholders. She loved caring for her grandchildren and spending many quality years with them.

Betty is survived by her husband Eric, daughters Linda Bothwell and Tracy Bothwell-Danks & fiancé Nathan Kecy. Her grandchildren Kenny Othouse, Maggie Scott, son-in-law Chris Scott and JD Danks. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter Emily L. Scott and Grayson C. Lane and her siblings Noel, Ruby, Ethel, Jack, Derek, Iris, David, and Gwen. Betty was preceded in death by her sister Ena. Betty’s wishes were to be cremated so a celebration of life will be held at:
