Martha Kay Gingles

Gingles, Martha Kay, 73 of Canton passed away October 23, 2019 in Marietta. Born in Atlanta to George, and Katherine Turner Gingles, she was a lifelong educator who dedicated herself to improving the lives of her students.  

Martha is preceded in death by her loving parents. She is survived by a Special First Cousin; Bobbie Stratton Jones, and an unofficial adopted Son; Fernando Fuentes, & Grandson; Justin Fuentes. A host of loving Cousins, Close Personal Friends, and Students who will all miss her dearly.

The family will hold a visitation Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 5:00PM – 8:00PM at Medford Peden Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral Services will be Monday, October 28, 2019 at 10:00AM at Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church followed by Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Library Fund at Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church. As an avid reader Mrs. Martha was a huge component in the forming of the church library, and seeing it grow, and thrive meant the world to her.
