Mary Cassie Crabtree

Mary Katherine “Cassie” Whaley Crabtree age 87, passed away on January 2, 2019. Born on January 10, 1931 in Calhoun, TN. She was the daughter of Jonah and Myrtle Burnette. She was a nurse by trade, but sewing was her main passion. Her 40 plus year career in nursing started at Bradley Memorial Hospital in Cleveland, TN. She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church also in Cleveland, TN.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Crabtree of Marietta, GA; her first husband Willis Whaley of Cleveland, TN; Twin brothers Coy and Roy Burnette; Sisters Agnes Salmon and Margaret Smalling.

She is survived by her daughter DeVal Whaley Clark (Marty) of Mount Vernon, GA; Grandson Judson Clark of Marietta, GA; several nieces and nephews and very special friends Bruce and Carolyn Swann.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30pm on Monday January 7, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, TN.
