Mary Jane Hefner

Mary Jane Hefner, aka Jane, 75, of Cartersville, GA., passed away on September 19, 2023.  Jane was born on July 7, 1948 to Mary Amos and James Frank Welch in the District of Columbia.

In 1985, Jane met Floyd D. Hefner and together they raised two sons, Brian Blair and Matthew Kelley.

Jane loved spending time with her family and enjoyed gardening, swimming, hiking and helping people. She volunteered to mentor several children at her local elementary school.  She gave to any and all charities as well as to any individuals in need.  Jane had a bigger than life personality - her laughter and generosity will be greatly missed. 

Jane was predeceased by Mary Amos Gollahon, Charles Gollahon and Carol Gollahon.

Jane is survived by her husband, Butch Hefner; sons, Brian Blair, Matthew Kelley and Craig Hefner; Daughters-in-law, Stephanie Blair, Karen Kelley and Mia Hefner; grandsons, Tyler Blair and Levy Hefner; Sister, Ann Cranford and niece, Mellisa Arrowood.

Services will be held at Medford-Peden Funeral Home:  1408 Canton Rd. Marietta, GA 30066 on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.  Viewing will start at 5:00PM and services will begin at 7:00PM.
