Michael James Adams

Michael James Adams Jr. known to his family and friends as Mikey, of Kennesaw, GA, died unexpectedly on November 10, 2021 at Wellstar Paulding Hospital due to a heart condition. He was just 47 years old. The family is completely heartbroken by his sudden death. Mikey was born on May 20, 1974 in Tuscaloosa, AL and lived in Cobb County, GA most of his life.

Mikey was a hard worker and worked in the lumber and building material industry for more than 20 years. He loved what he did and was a very loyal and dependable employee.

Mikey was a huge sports fan. He loved NASCAR racing and Braves baseball, but nothing compared to his love of Auburn University football. He loved it so much that he told us that if he ever died, he wanted his ashes spread around the famous Auburn Oak tree.

Anyone who knew Mikey was touched by his friendliness and humor. He loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He never had children of his own so he treated them like they were his.

Mikey is survived by his mother, Linda Adams, his grandmother, Jean Adams, his sisters, Michele Hogan (Anthony) and Amy Stroud (Stevie), his nephews, Casey Hogan, Austin Stroud, Dylan Stroud, Colin Stroud, and Jaxson Stroud, his nieces, Ciara Hogan, and Hannah Wolcott, 2 great nephews, 1 great niece, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael James Adams Sr.

Services will be held at Medford-Peden funeral home in Marietta, GA on Monday, November 15th. Visitation will start at 2:00 pm and the service will begin at 3:00 pm. Dinner for the family will be immediately following the service at Elizabeth Baptist Church Family Life Center at 315 Kurtz Rd. Marietta, GA 30066
