Robert Charles Mitchell, Sr.

Robert Charles Mitchell Sr (Bobby), of Cartersville, GA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 30, 2022 at the age of 85. 

Bobby was born on December 21, 1936 in Marietta, GA to the late Horace O. and Pearl G Mitchell.

He was one of eight siblings. He come from a long line of butchers. Served as a butcher for more than fifty years before retiring.

Bobby is survived by his daughter Robin Ferguson (Homer Ferguson); his daughter Karan Fortner; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and his brother Franklin D. Mitchell (Buddy).

He was proceeded in death by his parents Horace and Pearl Mitchell; loving wife of 42 years Barbara J. Mitchell; son Robert C. Mitchell Jr; and son-in-law Alfred Fortner (AJ).  

Services will be held at Medford-Peden Funeral Home

Visitation Monday August 1st, 2022 at 4pm – 8pm

Funeral Tuesday August 2nd, 2022 at 12pm

Graveside Service at Mountain View Park Cemetery at 1pm
