Robert William Perdue, Sr. went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, April 21, 2020. Bob was born on October 11, 1945 in Los Angeles, California to Hibe and Maree Perdue. He spent his youth growing up in Hollydale and Long Beach, California, and graduated Paramount High School, Class of 1963. Bob joined the Air Force upon graduation, was stationed in Warner Robins, Georgia, where he was given an honorable discharge in 1967. He obtained his Associates Degree at Middle Georgia College, going on to study Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. Settling in Georgia, he married his late wife Charlotte, raised a family in the metro Atlanta area, and started his business, Arctic Refrigeration in the 1970s, retiring in 2015.
Bob will be interred at Rose of Sharon Baptist Cemetery next to his loving wife Charlotte, who preceded him in death in 2002. He is survived by his daughters Shari Richie of Washington, Regina Kamm of Florida, and his son, Bobby Perdue of Georgia. He is also survived by his sister, Renée Martin of California, numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, as well as his wife of 15 years, Libby Beasley-Perdue, who remained by his side during his battle with Parkinson’s disease, before succumbing to a hard fought battle with pneumonia.
