Sharon Marie Evans

Sharon Marie Evans of Jasper, GA went home to be with God on October 2nd, 2022 at the age of 58 years old. She fought the longest, hardest battle and was, in her own words, “A Cat with 9 lives”.

Sharon was born on December 17th, 1963 in Marietta, GA to the late Douglas Elliott and Dorothy “Dot” Dobbs Elliott of Woodstock, GA.  She grew up the eldest of three children and attended Etowah High School. Immediately after graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Lamar Evans. She and Ken went on to own a trash business that served many members of Cherokee county, making them a well known staple of the community.

Sharon is survived by her formerly mentioned husband Kenneth Lamar Evans, Daughter Christina Evans, Daughter Tammy Evans White, son in law Toi White, four grandchildren—(Talon Smith, Alexis Jones, Serenity White, Emma White), Sister and Brother in Law Vicky and Joe Wallace, Brother and sister in law Wesley and Tracy Elliott along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive the public for viewing and condolences on Wednesday, October 5th 2022 from 3pm to 9pm at Medford-Peden Funeral Home on Canton Rd in Marietta, GA. Mrs. Sharon’s service will be held at New Home Baptist Church on Thursday, October 6th, 2022 at 2:30pm. All are welcome to share their stories of such an amazing woman leaving this Earth and entering Heaven too soon for us.

Sharon loved red roses and the family will be accepting flowers delivered to Medford-Peden.
