Stan Barnett Obituary

Barnett, Stan died January 13th, 2020. Stan was born in 1934 and grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, attended and graduated from LSU.

He Served 3 years in the US Army, came home and married his high school sweetheart they moved to New Orleans and stayed 11 years, moved to Atlanta in 1972. He moved to Jasper in 1995 and became active in local affairs including Habitat for Humanity, The Community Thrift Store, Keep Pickens Beautiful and The First Baptist Church.

Stan was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 60 years Jeanne, and his daughter Vickey.

He is survived by 3 children; Anne, Carol, and Richard. Plus 6 Grandchildren.

The body was cremated and a memorial service will follow soon. In lieu of flowers contributions to Habitat For Humanity Pickens County or The First Baptist Church Preschool will be appreciated.
