Obituary
Steven Craig Lusby, of Snellville, GA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 4, 2023, at the age of 63.
Steven was born on April 1, 1960, in Washington D.C. to the late Roger W. Lusby Jr. and Margot Marie Lusby. He grew up as the middle child of three boys and attended Naples High School in Naples, Florida. He attended college at Erskin College, Manatee Junior College, and lastly at the University of Miami where he led the Hurricanes to their first National Championship title in 1982 and was the leading hitter with a record setting batting average of .401. He was drafted by the California Angels and after baseball he became a salesman, and lastly was retired and assisting his mother up until his death.
Steven is survived by his mother, Margot Marie, Lusby, his older brother, Roger W. Lusby III, and his younger brother, Tim B. Lusby.
At the family’s request, no public services will be held. Steven will be cremated and his ashes are to be spread. The family respectfully declines flowers and donations, but prayers and condolences are gladly accepted.
