Stuart W. Lawson

Stuart W. Lawson, 86, of Marietta, GA entered into rest on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. He was born in Maxwell, VA, October 7, 1933.

Before retiring he loved his job as a long distance truck driver seeing all parts of the United States. The love of driving is what moved him and his family from Virginia to Georgia. He loved to tell about the places he traveled. His favorite hobbies were bowling, fishing and golfing. Later in life was all about fishing and telling the great-grandchildren and anyone about fishing. He loved visitors and what really put sparks in his life were grandchildren and great-grandchildren visiting.

Left to treasure his memory is his loving wife Beulah “Boots”; children Kathy Seacrest of Marietta, GA; Pam Jenkins (Robert) of Centerville, GA; Stuart “Scooter” Lawson; Donald Lawson (Susan) of Woodstock, GA; Sherry Hopkins (Ricky) of Canton, GA. “Papa” had his grandchildren and great grandchildren that were very special to him. Grandchildren, Sabrina Kelkar (Rohan); Tiffany Roberts (Quincy); Rachel Jenkins; Kimberlee Bush (Jerod); Amanda Lawson and Jordan Villhauer (Lauren). Great-grandchildren, Keira and Anya Kelkar; Tristan Roberts; Alex and Isaac Jenkins; Chloe, Maggie and Sydney Bush; Maliyah Lawson; Brantley Ridley; Hudson Villhauer, Berkley Villhauer expected in November.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday in the chapel of Medford- Peden Funeral Home with visitation being held Friday, Aug. 28 at 5:00-7:00pm. Mr. Lawson will be laid to rest in Georgia Memorial on Hwy 41.

Donations made be made in Honor of Mr. Lawson through The Alzheimer's Association or The American Heart Association.
