Wanda Janice (Nichols) Givens passed away last Saturday, September 11, 2021 from Alzheimer's that she suffered with for 10 years. Wanda was born November 2. 1940 to Marvin and Eloise Nichols in Young Harris, Georgia. They later moved to Marietta, GA. and she went to Marietta High School where she met her future husband, Jimmy Lee Givens. They married after he served in the Army, on June25, 1961. They had their first child, Janice Leigh Givens in1962 and three years later in 1965 had their son Jerry Alan Givens.
Wanda was one of five siblings, Bruce Nichols, Annette (Nichols) Harris, Gerald Nichols and Renee Nichols. She had two grandchildren, Emily Anne Faulkner and Justin Taylor Faulkner by her daughter Janice that she adored and loved very much. She always went to their school functions, Karate and swimming lessons. She was very involved in their lives and her grandchildren loved their "Nanny" .
Wanda is survived by her husband Jimmy Givens, her children ,Janice (Givens) Ayers and Jerry Givens. Her grandchildren, Emily(Faulkner) De La Fuente and Justin T. Faulkner. Also her little great grandson, Caden De La Fuente. And only living sibling Renee Nichols.
Arrangements for Wanda Givens will be a private, family, graveside funeral on September 25, 2021 at Mtn. View Cemetery.
