Bobby Joe Vaughn

Born 7/31/45 and passed on 8/25/16. Bobby is survived by his wife of 47 years Linda Vaughn who was the love of his life. He leaves behind two children whom he both loved and cherished, his son Shane Collie and his daughter Kristy Casteel. Bobby also leaves behind 4 grandchildren who brought much joy and happy moments into his life. In the last several years he has also gotten to experience the joys of three precious great grandchildren. Bobbly is also survived by his two remaining sisters Betty Emerson and Debra Walker. 

Bobby was known for and will be remembered for his continuos sense of humor and his unwavering ability to lose control of any situation. Most people know he could make a dreary situation shine with just the simplest of jokes and laughter. Some people also know that Bobby served his country during the Vietnam War, but no one knows that he was a twice decorated Bronze Star winner. Its understandable because he never talked about his achievements and he never made life about himself, but chose instead to make it about those who he loved and cherished. 

Bobby will be missed by those whom he loved and those who really knew him. People should also know that he loved his God and was assured of his salvation and that today he is resting with Jesus in Heaven awaiting that moment when he can be reunited with those he loved. Today we both mourn his passing because he is gone from us but we can celebrate with joy because he suffers no more and he is home where he has prepared himself to be. He has a new body today, and he can breathe freely, and he gets to continue to make people laugh. 

Bobby loved many and was loved by many in return. He was a good man who finished his race with pride and who can now for eternity celebrate his victory with his savior Jesus Christ. Bobby is gone but never will he or the impacts he made in this world be forgotten.
