Mary Sanders

Mrs. Mary Kline Sanders, of Kennesaw, GA, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the age of 83. Mary was born to parents Gail and Ella Kline on
November 17, 1933 in Mt. Airy, MD. She grew up as the oldest of three siblings and attended Mt. Airy High School. In 1954, she married, Leo Sanders and they moved to Fredrick, MD. In 1979 they moved the family to Marietta, GA, where Mary cared for their 3 daughters and later worked as a secretary. In 1999, Mary and Leo retired and moved to Ocala Florida, where they lived until Leo’s passing in 2006. In 2011 Mary returned to Georgia where she lived in close proximity to family and friends. Mary is survived by her three daughters: Barbara Marley-Cass, Leota Connelly and Erin Sanders; her brother, Earl Kline; and five grandchildren, James Connelly, Dylan Stevens, Kimberlin Barnhart, Josh Bailey and Jacob Connelly. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo; her parents, Gail and Ella; and her brother, Gail. A Memorial Mass will be held for Mary at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church (1618 Ben King Road, Kennesaw, GA 30144) on Tuesday, March 28th at 10:30 AM. An additional Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church (44 Frederick St., Taneytown, MD21787) on Tuesday, April 4th at 11:00 AM. Following this service her ashes will be buried beside her husband, Leo, in the St. Joseph cemetery.
