John McCormick

John W .McCormick, aged 88 of Marietta, GA passed away on November 7th, 2017.

He was a wonderful husband and a good father.  He volunteered his free time tutoring children at Blackwell Elementary after his retirement from Lockheed following 38 years of service.  He taught Bridge at the Senior Centers.  He was also a proud U.S. Navy Air Force veteran.  He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel James McCormick.  He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Laurie McCormick of Marietta; daughter Catherine McCormick of Peachtree Corners; son John W. McCormick, Jr of Marietta; granddaughters Kimberly Donahoe and Heather Torres; grandson Christopher McCormick ; and 8 great Grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Thursday, November 9th, 2017 from 2-4pm at Medford-Peden Funeral Home.  The family will have a private service at a later date.
